Kayla fell in love with creative design when she created her first website at the age of 10 years old. I received my first mac book in 4th grade & ever since then I was infatuated with surfing the internet & finding any platform that I could comprehend at the time to utilize as a creative outlet. I would find colorful, flashy graphics from all over the internet of shapes & cartoons and even began creating my own.
Obviously, I had no idea what I was doing or how this passion would affect me later in life, I just remember loving it. I remember wanting to create a platform to put all of these graphics in one place, & that was when I found wix.com. Don’t ask me how I taught myself how to build a website at 11 years old because I don’t know the answer either.
In about a week, I created a website that included the graphics I created, along with only games, & a membership page that I of course told everyone at Newtown Elementary School about. I wish more than anything that the site still existed today so I could tell you the amount of members I had on that site!
As I grew up, I eventually found new outlets of creativity & disregarded how my interest in graphic design & content creation as a CHILD could potentially be a life calling for me or even a future career.
Over the years, I began finding new ways to fuel my creativity & it wasn’t until 2020 that I finally decided to combine my creativity my business.
That was because it was never about the money. To be honest, it wasn’t even about the end result. To me it was always about the creative process.
It was this alone that taught me one of my core life values: the journey IS the destination.
